Time is going so fast!!! It is crazy!! I love being a missionary!
Last week on our day off (P-Day) we got invited to the Mabey’s for lunch with some of the sisters in our area! They are a senior missionary couple. It was good to see Sister Bramford again!! We also went to a church member’s home for Family Home Evening…her 3 kids all had different things like autism and ADD, so it must be so hard for her!
Tuesday we taught our English/gospel lesson and then visited A— from Croatia. She is great and we get to see her again tomorrow!!
Wednesday we did a few drop by visits to people who never got back to us about their lesson times. We visited with D—, a Sikh lady and called some people.
Thursday was good! We started our day with a three hour weekly planning, and then went to try and contact a former investigator. We couldn’t find the house so we walked on to a member’s home instead. It was great to see her – she is hilarious and so is her grandson. They live in the peacock neighbourhood so Sister Pavone got to see the peacocks and we found some cool feathers on our way back. After that we did some finding and visited our ward mission leader who is so awesome…his kids are too cute and his wife made dessert and we got to have some. We are excited to work more with our ward members!!
Friday we had a little Multi-zone Conference. The zone leaders and sister training leaders informed us on the changes to the mission. It was really good!
Saturday the elders that are now teaching R– called and asked me to call him because he wasn’t doing so good…so I did! He seemed really off about everything…but an hour later he called back and he had missed his bus to go to his parents house but knew that it was God telling him he needed to go along to church tomorrow instead, so he is back on track!!! Also, we had our ward corn roast. A lot of the church members had their friends there so it was lots of socializing and eating which is the best!
Sunday we had church and taught D——- and his wife. They are of Sikh background but aren’t practicing. They loved to learn about Christ and just soaked it all up. That night in another ward there was the baptism of a family I had taught once on an exchange! We had 3 friends there and they all enjoyed seeing a baptism for the first time. It was great!
And this morning I went to the driving place here…and my Canadian drivers licence is on it’s way!!! Ahhh watch out!
LOVE SURREY 3RD
I hope everyone has a great week!!
